overview :
Design and develop an educational website that showcases the rich heritage of the Zari/Zardozi craft. The website should serve as a digital platform to educate people about the intricate embroidery techniques, historical significance, and cultural value of this traditional art form. Additionally, it should aim to raise awareness about the artisans who preserve this craft and how it can be promoted globally.

The Challenge :
The main challenge was to organize an extensive educational catalog of a niche craft without creating "confusing clutter". Traditional crafts like Zardozi involve complex techniques and histories; the goal was to use brainstorming and mind mapping to simplify the educational journey while maintaining the premium, respectful feel of the brand.

UX Research & Strategy :
Methodology
Mind Mapping & Brainstorming: Explored the connection between luxury heritage and modern digital documentation to define the site's identity as a craft archive.
Card Sorting: A critical exercise used to categorize different Zardozi techniques, materials, and histories into intuitive groups for better information findability.
Information Architecture: Structured a clear hierarchy covering the Craft Documentation page, About the Artisans page, and an Admin portal for archival updates

Design Evolution :
The design process ensured that the educational content was both functional and visually representative of the craft:
Wireframing: Began with paper sketches to explore layout density, followed by low-fidelity digital wireframes to focus on the skeletal structure of the information.
Design System: Developed a cohesive typography and color system that reflects the richness of Zari-Zardozi while ensuring long-form educational text remains highly readable.
High-Fidelity Prototyping: Finalized a polished interface that highlights the microscopic details of the craft through high-quality visual documentation.

User Testing & Insights :
The educational portal underwent comprehensive user testing to identify potential learning friction points:
Navigation Feedback: Testing helped resolve "confusing clutter," leading to a more streamlined interface that allows users to focus on the craft's history.
Iterative Improvements: Based on the user testing summary table, refinements were made to ensure the layout effectively communicated the educational value of the content

Summary and Impact :
The Inara website successfully transforms the tactile, physical art of Zardozi into a sophisticated digital archive. By grounding the design in user testing and clear information architecture, the project provides a premium environment that respects the heritage of the craft while serving as a vital resource for the next generation of learners.
