overview :

Raahi isn’t just a travel app; it’s a companion that listens, guides, and protects. Born for explorers, it blends AI intelligence with emotion — crafting personalized journeys that go beyond maps. Each route unfolds stories through local voices and hidden trails, turning travel into discovery. With voice-activated SOS, live safety alerts, and instant helplines, Raahi ensures you’re never alone on the road. A growing community of travelers shares real experiences, trusted routes, and cultural gems.

Because Raahi believes every journey isn’t about reaching a place — it’s about finding yourself along the way.

Value Proposition :

For: Modern travelers, solo explorers, and groups seeking seamless travel experiences.

Who want: Efficient trip planning, real-time navigation, and curated local experiences without switching between multiple apps.

Our App: Combines AI-powered itinerary planning, live adaptive navigation, community insights, and offline accessibility into one unified platform.

Unlike: Wanderlog, Roadtrippers, Google Maps, and Goibibo — which either focus on planning, navigation, or booking in isolation.

We Offer:

  • Personalized Itinerary Generation – AI suggests routes, activities, and time-efficient plans based on user interests.

  • Real-Time Trip Optimization – Automatically updates schedules when delays occur or plans change.

  • Community & Trust Signals – Avatars, verified reviews, and shared itineraries build confidence and social proof.

  • Offline-Ready Travel – Full maps, emergency info, and guides even in low-connectivity areas.

  • Inclusive & Sustainable Options – Eco-routes, walkable paths, and accessibility-friendly suggestions.

  • Integrated Safety & Booking – Manage reservations and access SOS features in one place.

Benefit Statement:
"Plan smarter, navigate confidently, and explore the world effortlessly - all in one app."

UX Research & Strategy :

To break through creative blocks and explore a wide range of solutions, I employed the Crazy 8’s ideation technique.

  • Rapid Sketching: Challenging the design process by sketching eight distinct UI solutions in eight minutes.

  • Concept Filtering: Evaluating the diverse ideas generated to find the most intuitive navigation patterns and layout structures.

  • Iterative Refinement: Taking the best "low-stakes" sketches and evolving them into structured wireframes.

Information Architecture & Flow :

The architecture was built to support spontaneous discovery while maintaining organization:

  • Discovery Engine: A centralized hub for exploring destinations, filtered by user preferences.

  • Smart Itineraries: A logical flow that allows users to move from "saving a place" to "mapping the route" in minimal taps.

  • User-Centric Navigation: A bottom-bar layout that ensures the most critical tools Search, Plans, and Profile are always within thumb's reach.

Features :

REAL-TIME NAVIGATION

  • Collaboration with local influencers and the government to create authentic, real, and video-based travel content.

  • Live navigation trail — shows footsteps of travelers in real time to help others follow their routes.

  • Visual pop-ups and icons (color-coded) to indicate warnings, safety, or points of interest.

  • AI summarization of reviews — provides concise insights from visitor feedback.

  • Alert tones or notifications even when the app is closed (e.g., roadblocks, danger zones).

CROSS-CHECK & VERIFICATION

  • Organized information across categories like food, culture, and history.

  • Comparison tables (like Gadget360) to compare reviews and opinions from different apps or users.

  • Reward system for verifying and cross-checking correct information.

Visual Design System :

The visual identity of Raahi is inspired by the spirit of adventure:

  • Typography & Colors: A vibrant yet clean palette that ensures readability in outdoor settings.

  • Component Library: Standardized cards and buttons designed for quick scanning of travel details like ratings, distance, and pricing.

  • High-Fidelity Execution: Translating the rapid sketches into a polished, modern interface that feels trustworthy and professional.

I developed a high-fidelity prototype to test the fluidity of the travel planning experience.

  • Micro-interactions: Subtle animations that provide feedback when saving a destination or switching between map and list views.

  • Seamless Transitions: Ensuring that the journey from the splash screen to the final itinerary feels like a single, continuous thought.

Summary & Impact :

The Raahi project demonstrates how rapid ideation frameworks like Crazy 8's can lead to highly functional and user-friendly products. By starting with a wide funnel of ideas and narrowing down to the most impactful features, Raahi provides travelers with a focused, intuitive tool that makes exploration the priority, not the planning.
